I think it is good for SK to play Holy Cross. You get a chance to try some new things and not worry to much about losing a game. Plus you get to rest players. It is a win win for SK.

Seems like everybody is complaining that SK plays HC but the SK fans. Maybe Highlands should have stepped up sooner.

New things can be tried against anyone. Personally, I hope SK is successful, but would really like seeing them schedule tougher teams in these types of game situations. It would prepare them better when the playoffs start.

I'm in the camp of not understanding how this game is still on SK's schedule. I would have thought that the program would have out grown playing a traditionally mediocre 2A school years ago.

 

Sounds like a knock on HC, but it isn't really. They've had a couple really good years, and a state title season. They've also had some really bad seasons, and lots of well....pretty average 2A type seasons.

 

I understand scheduling isn't always easy, but at this stage this is a game neither program needs. SK would be better served playing class A Beechwood than Holy Cross nine out of 10 years.

SK will replace HC with Highlands but will crush them also. I really wish SK played Lakota West, Anderson and Wyoming.

Never, and I repeat, Never good to schedule an opponent you know you are going to dominate. Trying new things is for practice, and it seems to never fail, when you play an opponent you know is inferior the kids have a hard time focusing, you lose your edge and someone gets hurt.

I understand if they are in your conference and you have no choice, but scheduling cupcakes is not beneficial.

Everybody criticizes SK for scheduling this game, but gives Kozerski a complete pass. This game has no value to HC either. HC was coming off a state championship when this game was scheduled.
