Ok, I've been missing from the football forum for awhile. But, I thought CCH was finally getting lights? Last summer or this summer? What ever happened to that?

A few years ago, my son's HS team had just this same issue. It was decided to play it at 10am on a Saturday. My son and a few other players said they would have preferred to play the Friday night. That Saturday game even being at 10 am, the temps and humidity level just kept rising all morning. The game was on turf.

 

 

I believe the JV game was moved to Monday or Tuesday night.

Pajama bottoms are the new blue jeans....many now feel they can wear them anywhere, anytime!

I think you would get a bigger crowd on Friday night when it will be "cooler" than on Saturday I guess unless you change your name to cov kona ice cath.... Hahahaha

Saturday 10 am, is the normal time for JV games in NKY.

Let me try to plan this "Saturday" out based on how my team does things.

1. 10am kickoff.

2. Pre-game warm ups would start at 8:45am

3. Players would have to start dressing at 8:15am (dressing and getting taped)

4. Players would be in the locker room at 8am.

5. Pre-game meal would be at 6am.

6. Players would have to get up at 5am.

7. I know the players would not go to bed at home the night before prior to 2am.

Unless this CCH team is very different from basically all past teams, then most of the CCH players do not like playing on Saturday either. There is also a chance of pop up thunderstorms. So it could be nice and muggy for the game. Crowds at CCH have lacked simply because they play on Saturday. A lot more people would be going to CCH games if they were Friday night. It is time for lights. It has actually been time for years. It would benefit the entire athletic program.

Bacon. A ton of bacon. Actually, they should do that regardless of the time or day of the game.

Does that somehow validate this wrong doing?
