August 18, 201412 yr This is turning in to Miami 2.0 with above average players taking less to hitch their wagon to the King for a title. I do want to get everyone on the record acknowledging whether or not James has enough help now to win a title.

I do want to get everyone on the record acknowledging whether or not James has enough help now to win a title. I think so. Depth is something I worry about, especially in the backcourt. I love what they can put out there for a starting five, KI, Waiters, Lebron, Love, Varejao. But with guys like Mike Miller, James Jones, Shawn Marion, Haywood, and possibly Ray Allen I'm not sure how much those guys have left in the tank and how much they will be able to contribute. Health will be a key issue here. However if Dellavedova, Joe Harris, and Dwight Powell can grow into solid role players over the next few seasons they may be okay. They definitely will need an infusion of youth like Miami did but outside of KI, Waiters, and Tristan Thompson not sure where its coming from. Kevin Love is still young and just entering his prime as well but when it comes to role players (bench players) they will eventually need some of the young guys to be able to play good minutes if the older guys(Miller/Marion/Allen/etc.) can't go.

Part of what everyone has to accept with James wanting to team with two other max type players is that the roster is always going to be teetering on the brink of injury because that is the nature of player these teams can afford. That comes with the territory and why I did not always feel it was fair for James to get a pass by many when things were not going well. Hopefully they can stay healthy, but let's not ignore that Kyrie has never been healthy and Love missed pretty much all of the season before last with an injury (I think he also missed a part of his season at UCLA because of injury but may be mistaken). At first glance they should be the favorites to win the East.

August 18, 201412 yr I'm now on record saying they will win the East. That's a pretty safe bet at this point. I think so too. Whether they'll have the guns to conquer the best of the best of the West is something I'm still going to have to ponder.
