This game will be a lot closer than what most think this may turn into. I saw Boone twice in 7-on-7s and if their o-line can provide the protection Lamb requires, this won't be a 6+ TD blowout. It's going to be all about the line for the Rebels and I have no idea how far along they are.

They've got good athletes and they are going to be more successful than they were last year. Blue boys by 3 scores with Dixie, knocking at the door, seeking a win the following Saturday!

For those of you calling for Cov Cath to run away with this one, can I ask why? Are you basing that score on the outcome of things last season, or do you have another basis?

I guess I just have a little more faith in Coach Griffith and his staff to make improvements on last season. They took over a struggling program, and began working to improve it by instituting a brand new platoon system. That's obviously going to end with their season record taking a dive, as well as their outcome on the scoreboard. They lost by seven touchdowns last year, but are folks really only seeing them being able to improve that by two touchdowns this year?

I will say this: although it isn't the outcome I expect to see on gameday, if the game ISN'T closer than a five touchdown margin, I'm worried if I'm a Boone County fan.

I also think it will be closer than last year but- can anyone on the Boone Co side say whether Coach Griffith has actually been successful in implementing a strict two platoon system? Or do they still have guys going both ways?

I can't speak for this years squad but last year it was pretty much a platoon system.

CCH 28 BC 17, I look for it to be a good game early

I'm sure I could find it but is Floyd now practicing with Boone?

In watching the BC vs Butler scrimmage, it looked to me like at least three kids start both ways, with at least 3 more seeing starter minutes both ways.
