Purge in Louisville Friday night?

Featured Replies

A lot of people got duped big time.

Safety isn't anything to take lightly. Whether the purge was real or not, I can't fault anyone for making a safe decision.

I could absolutely murder some Jimmy John's right now.

Same here but unfortunately it's 4 am and they don't deliver to my house.

6am

Roll call to my Louisville peeps.

Is anybody out there?

I was going to ask if Louisville is still here? Or is it history? It's awfully quiet from that area this morning, and that is VERY odd! LOL!

Watching the news and the wheels keep on turning in Louisville. :D

In all seriousness, I do feel that after the backlash toward the police after the incidents downtown a few months ago, they were well served to take this seriously. It was a prank by one kid in the end, but without that certainty, LMPD did the right thing.

But, in true Louisville fashion, there will now be backlash toward them for "overreacting".

Overall, I think it was actually the rest if the world overreacting that is the funniest part of the whole thing. And the tweets last night were both saddening and hilarious. Nice to see so many people who don't even know anyone in Louisville tweeting out their prayers and love for Louisvillians.

WE SURVIVED!

It's Louisville, you call that living?

Agree with the sentiments of you and ColonelCrazy rockmom. If something bad happened, people would have been up in arms about why it wasn't prevented. No win situation for the Louisville PD IMO, and it was through no fault of their own.

Exactly.

Exactly.

"Nobody move, nobody gets hurt!" :lol2:

Glad to see you and your pancakes were never in harms way. The conspiracy buffs are going to have a field day on this "purge." Would have loved to have been in St. Mathews last night eating dinner outside somewhere and listen to the responses as national guard armored vehicles provided a presence.

Have a safe, purge free weekend.

There was a skunk outside last night about 11:30. I'm fairly certain he purged. My English Pointer may have caused it. However he has no opposable thumbs, so the signs weren't his.
