Reds @ Rockies August 14 - August 17

With the Reds having an off day this past Monday, I wonder if there was any thought to moving up tomorrow's starter, and skip Alfredo for a start? Of course, now knowing the Bailey situation, maybe they didn't feel that was an option.

Reds lose 7 to 3. Better pitching match ups coming for Reds.

True. Is there anyone who didn't expect this second half out of Simon?

I was begging for them to make a deal and move him at the break. But I'm sure other GMs were just as smart to realize it wouldn't last.

Big Pasta = Jack Armstrong

Jack Armstrong?

Jack Armstrong?

Great 1st half, complete bust in 2nd half.

Jack Armstrong?

See below. As an upside, if Big Pasta is actually Jack Armstrong, the Reds should win the World Series over Oakland!!!

Jack Armstrong - 1990

At the guarantee of repeating myself, there were people angry about Roy Halladay starting the 2011 All-Star Game over Jair Jurrjens. But the patron saint of "It's not the First-Half All-Star Game" is Jack Armstrong, who exploded with a 11-3, 2.28 ERA start in 1990 after 21 uninspiring career major-league starts spanning two seasons. He went 22-46 over the next four years, and he was out of baseball before he was 30.

Johnny better throw a shut out tonight, Fraz and Meso out of the lineup!

That's AWESOME!!!!

Wow. I was actually gonna watch, but methinks preseason football is a better choice. Or trimming nose hair even.

Cueto is pretty good.

Ondrusek started and pitched 1 scoreless inning and Phillips went 0 for 2 for Louisville tonight. Bats lost 9-0 to Indy (Pirate's team) so they fit right in.

Reds get 2 on in 9th, tied at 2-2.

Billy at bat.

Negron gets the 2 out hit to put Reds up 3-2.
