August 14, 201412 yr Cueto v. Morales on Friday night Cueto is 4-0 with 1.75 ERA since the All Star Break. He's the reigning NL Player of the week after going 2-0 with 2.12 ERA against Cleveland & Miami. In his career, Cueto has made six (6) starts vs. the Rockies. He's 2-2 with a 3.63 ERA.

August 14, 201412 yr Bailey is still scheduled to start Saturday, but he will head to the DL. Not sure who will replace him. Jordan Lyles will start for the Rockies against Saturday. On Sunday, Mat Latos will match up against Yohan Flande. Flande is a lefty but has really struggled this year. Latos is relatively familiar with the Rockies from his days in the NL West as a Padre. In 8 career starts against Colorado, he's 5-2 with a 3.63 ERA.

I haven't paid much attention to the minor leaguers recently, so I don't know how they're performing, but I'd love to see Corcino pitch. Agree that Holmberg is more likely.

August 15, 201412 yr True. Is there anyone who didn't expect this second half out of Simon? Well no one expect him to go 12-4 in the second half but I was hoping he would at least turn in a quality start once in a while and be able to get past the 5th inning without blowing the game.
