Anyone else catch this artful masterpiece?

 

Not sure what is worse, the fact that I watched it, or the fact that I could not fall asleep while watching it. Wretched.

What is worse is that I DVR'd it, read your negative review, & will still watch it.

I watched it. Didn't learn anything from it. The story was told from the point of view of Screech so of course he felt slighted in his role and unpopular. I take that back. I learned that Tell-All books are much better than Tell-All movies.

They also tried to cram in way too much. For all of us that loved Saved by the Bell, it just skimmed over the surface of everything. Then again, this was on Lifetime and probably produced by a middle school television club.

It is sad that I was looking forward to it knowing it would be a Lifetime disaster. Give it up to Screech and crew as they were the top few trending topics last night on twitter.

 

From a cultural standpoint Saved by the Bell means so much to the 25-35 year old demographic. The most interesting point they made last night was that it was the first non-cartoon Saturday morning television show of the young teenage variety. To think of shows like Hannah Montana which now infiltrate the airwaves, they all owe it to Samuel Powers and Richard Belding.

Preppy's eyebrows were rocking. It looked like someone applied the football player eye black across his forehead.

Extend that to the 40s

Couldn't they spend a little more time looking for characters that actually resembled the real actors at least a little bit? Only thing that was interesting to me was if any of it is true then it is a decent look at how they acted off camera.

My wife told me that Lopez actually had a rape covered up during his time on the show. Anyone else heard the same?

Looking forward to adding this show to the plethora of shows I don't watch.

Yes, he was hit with a date rape charge back in the early 90's.

The show was good stuff through high school.

 

Movie had to be terrible (who couldn't have called that.)

 

I think E may have done a True Hollywood Story on the show several years ago. Probably much better for fans of the show to get a behind the scenes look. How the parts were cast, how the show blew up, etc. Cheesy, but so was the show.
