August 6, 201412 yr I don't really get concerned about such things but if (just if) a person catches it here from one of these two guys, there will be a public meltdown.I wouldn't worry about that, Emory's infectious diseases unit was created to handle doctors who get sick at the CDC. It's one of four such facilities in the country that has everything they need to test, treat and contain people exposed to extremely dangerous viruses. It was used in 2005 to treat people with SARS which spreads a lot easier than Ebola.

August 6, 201412 yr This makes no sense especially since there is no cure for it, keep it contained in Africa. But the Obama Administration allowed this. Why? Wow! Did you really just... oh, never mind.

August 6, 201412 yr I saw an online poll...are you concerned about Ebola spreading the U.S.' date=' blah blah blah... 74% said concerned[/quote'] Welcome to America, land of the paranoid.

The virus, which requires contact with the bodily fluids of a victim, their blood, urine, faeces, vomit, saliva or sweat, to leap into a new host, is also treatable the current strain of the virus, which is the worst in history and has killed 887 people, could in fact be airborne, the Centers For Disease Control has implemented steps to prevent its spread via international air travel. A CDC advisory entitled Interim Guidance about Ebola Virus Infection for Airline Flight Crews, Cleaning Personnel, and Cargo Personnel reveals that the federal agency is concerned about airborne contamination.
August 6, 201412 yr Author The CDC’s concern about the Ebola virus being spread via the air is understandable in light of a 2012 experiment conducted by Canadian scientists which proved that, “the ebola virus could be transmitted by air between species.” Researchers demonstrated that the virus could be transmitted from pigs to monkeys without any direct contact by placing the two animals in pens separated only by a wire barrier. After eight days, some of the monkeys were found to have symptoms of Ebola likely as a result of “inhaling large aerosol droplets produced from the respiratory tracts of the pigs.” The results of the study led scientists to conclude that, “limited airborne transmission might be contributing to the spread of the disease in some parts of Africa CDC Concerned About Airborne Transmission of Ebola Virus :: Former Silent Majority :: Care2 Groups

August 6, 201412 yr Thats bizarre, 74% on this site arent concerned and think its great we brought Ebola patients here. So you wanted Obama to go into Benghazi and rescue those American citizens but you don't want him to go to Africa and rescue these American citizens? That doesn't make sense.
August 6, 201412 yr Thats bizarre, 74% on this site arent concerned and think its great we brought Ebola patients here. How was the poll worded? I'm envisioning something like this: "Are you concerned about dirty Typhoid Mary illegals bringing their foreign sicknesses over here to infect us?"
August 7, 201412 yr Author So you wanted Obama to go into Benghazi and rescue those American citizens but you don't want him to go to Africa and rescue these American citizens? That doesn't make sense. The Benghazi people didn't have a 90% death rate killing disease with them.
