So, when up by 6TD's, leave your starting QB in and continue to throw deep. Got it. Stay classy.

Was Campbell still bringing pressure? Were they stocking the box to stop the run?

In 1973 I was the victim of a late hit at Dayton. I am so torn up about it and want everyone to join me in condemning that coach and program! I think they should be suspended and all their grand kids spanked!

Dayton's Shame, 41 years and counting. :D

Again, we're talking more than 15 years after the fact. Good grief. :ohbrother:

There's a statute of limitations regarding character? sportsmanship?

And what's prompting you to bring it up 15 years after the fact? Or 1.5 months after you joined? Why wait until now?

There are a lot of things that happened 15 years ago that maybe weren't right but that doesn't mean that's the way things will be done today. Bringing it up does nothing now since those people that we're in the program aren't there anymore.

And no face masks, how I became so pretty.

We have some Dayton kids in our scout troop, I have a lot of fun with the parents. Back in the day Dayton had a very tough program, as did Bellevue and Ludlow.

This should help

The Highlands football team set a school record for single-game scoring Friday night, beating Campbell County 88-12 in Fort Thomas. The total tied Hopkinsville for the eighth-best single-game output in state history.

"Our guys just executed so well," Highlands coach Dale Mueller said. "I was so impressed with the way we played throughout." Senior running back Brian Ulbricht returned the game's opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown, and the scoring never seemed to stop for the home team.

The Bluebirds scored 28 points in the first quarter, then 27 in the second, resting their starters after halftime. Senior quarterback Jared Lorenzen completed 11-of-17 passes for 302 yards and five touchdowns in the first half.

Senior tight end Derek Smith caught two passes for 99 yards, both touchdowns. Junior running back Brenden Zenni rushed for 109 yards and two more scores, all after halftime.

"Jared, he looked like an NFL quarterback stopped by for the night," Mueller said. "The same way with Derek, who made two amazing catches. Everybody we put in played great."

Highlands has scored 139 points in two games.

The single-game state record is 136 points, set by Hopkinsville in a 1912 game vs. Adams (Tenn.) High. Hopkinsville's 88-point effort, which Highlands tied Friday, came in 1966 against Bath County.

All runs after halftime. That should be acceptable for everyone.

I'm not impressed though. BG put up 91 points on a team in the running clock era. This wasn't a running clock era game was it?
