Is KI a better shooter than Wall? I don't know...if he is then it wasn't a bad choice as FIBA ball makes it tough to drive as Wall does best. You need shooters and distributors not just distributors.

I was thinking that in honor of Paul George they weren't making any cuts for 4-5 days. Guarantee one player on Team USA was like...."yesssss, I'm in now."

K needs blasted if he leaves Drummond or Cousins home in favor of Plumlee. I'd say the same if it were Cal leaving home Irving or (...or imagine there were another good Duke player in the NBA) at home for Darius Miller or Marquis Teague. That's probably the closest equivalent to what he's doing here.

 

It's one thing to get in Cousins' head and try to motivate him, IF that's what they're doing. It's completely another to publicly attack a guy's character and pull a self-serving move like taking your own guy when he shouldn't even be sniffing the tryouts if we're being completely honest if that's what they're doing.

Considerable a couple years ago. This past season no real difference. Also Irving was the 2nd worst catch and shoot shooter with at least 50 attempts this past season . Wall shooting numbers have improved every season as Irving's has declined.

 

I personally feel Wall is better passer penetrator and defender.I would choose Wall over Irving . But I can't be angry Irving is a good player . This is nothing like Plumlee over Cousins.

At first I thought it would be ludicrous but everything said in that article made perfect sense. I would take Cousins over Drummond but I see why Plumlee is a possible choice over Cousins.

Some will do that but Boogie doesn't have the BBN backing that Davis has. That would in fact cause a MELTDOWN. Plus it's easy to leave a guy off the team that's never been on it.

Very true. And it's not like we're talking about a prime spot. We're talking about a backup role that may get you 6-15 minutes a game. If that. The 10th man.

It's a toss up IMO. I think KI is a pretty darn good representative of USA basketball. It's a shame both couldn't be on the team. I know Wall could have contributed but I'm cool with KI being on the team, he got game.

If I were Rose..... After seeing what just happened to George I'm not sure I'd want to play. BUTTTTTT you're representing the USA so no doubt I'd suit up if I were in his shoes which is why he will. Still risky though given his track record for injuries.
