July 29, 201412 yr The idea of Cueto pitching for the Cards makes me sick. We can't let that happen. Wouldn't bother me at all, the same with Latos,Chapman,Leake if it brings in ready to play prospects or a name power hitter
July 30, 201412 yr Don't know if I'd trade Chapman yet... Got to give people a reason to come to games. People are not coming to games because Chapman is on the roster.
July 30, 201412 yr People are not coming to games because Chapman is on the roster. Chapman still draws a crowd. My stepdaughters first ever game, she wanted to see the guy who throws over 100mph to believe it and he did that game luckily for us.
July 30, 201412 yr Chapman still draws a crowd. My stepdaughters first ever game, she wanted to see the guy who throws over 100mph to believe it and he did that game luckily for us. I just can't see people spending money to go to a game to see someone who may not even pitch in the game. Obviously your story tells me I'm incorrect to some degree. Now I believe people that are already at the game may stay for the chance to see Chapman pitch.
July 30, 201412 yr Lester is not making his scheduled start tomorrow. The Red Sox are going with Workman. Possible that Lester has been traded. Also heard that Matheny said Saturday's starter for the Cards could be an "external candidate". Pure speculation but Lester make be going to STL.

July 30, 201412 yr That may be a minor league call up Possibly. It's very vague. That's why I put "pure speculation."
July 30, 201412 yr I think they can wait to trade Chapman, isn't he around till 2016? I'd trade Cueto in a heartbeat and get a roster that can compete immediately next year. What is the FA market looking like this summer?

What is the FA market looking like this summer? Here's the problem....The Reds have no money to sign anyone in free agency. What you see is what you're going to get, unless they make a trade.

July 30, 201412 yr Did anyone notice the age of those guys on the FA list? Average is about 35. I get visions of Roland and Ludwick when I see that. Makes my head hurt.
