July 15, 201412 yr Tonight is going to be awesome. I have a vision of the American League taking the field and everyone but Jeter stopping at the top of the dugout. 3+ minutes of a standing O. I also think they'll send him out to SS his last inning then make a last minute change so everyone can give him his due. The last game of the year is going to suck. Three of my favorite people. Gwynn loses his battle with cancer. Mo retires. One year later Jetes retires.

Farrell said he's planning on making the switch during a defensive inning to give him a chance to get the ovation that he deserves. Also I think that had something to do with the decision to lead him off. He'll get a long ovation then too.

July 16, 201412 yr I guess I'll be the naysayer I don't get this farewell tour. They are treating Jeter like he is Jordan or Gretzky and I don't buy it.
