Certainly would think that one of the biggest games in the state will be in 5A when Pulaski Co and Bowling Green go H2H in the regular season.

 

Rematch from last yrs championship. Interesting these two scheduled one another but I'm not complaining.

When you need a game, it happens. I think while neither would necessarily consider it ideal, it's a strong matchup to find midway through the scheduling cycle when you both have a game you need.

Bowling Green is tops till someone beats them.

 

Will be interesting to see how 5A shakes out after that.

Do not count Southwest out. They have alot of talent in those halls and the caliber of coach they have now will give them at least 7 or 8 wins, plus a transfer or 2 and some kids playing thatsat.out last year, not t ok mention the middle school team they had a couple of years ago. A good coach makes all the difference. Remember Hilton took an 0-11 Bourbon team and won the state the next season.

 

Actually Bourbon was 3-7 the year before they won the State.

What is Harlan Co going to have? I agree about Bullitt East, I think they're going to be really good, What about Christian Co? Anderson Co? Franklin Co.? N. Laurel? Any of these teams going to be contenders?

Don't see Harlan Co. They can't beat Pulaski or Madison Southern.

Bullitt East has to find 5 OL who are varsity-ready and healthy to replace 4 starters and a backup who played many snaps. The one returning starter is coming back from an injury very soon. Other than th

Saw Bullitt East play JH last year and came away pretty impressed. Replacing the line will be difficult for them but I know they have talented senior class coming back. The one issue I noticed is that with the veer type offense they run, it is hard for them to score quickly if they fall behind a good team. I think they need to develop a passing game and find some speed on the outside if they are going to upset John this year for the Region title.

It isn't the offense. Last year, BE did not have a QB who threw that well. With the QB returning and some transfers who play WR, they may throw a little bit more. However, BE has a nice stable of RBs returning, plus a QB who runs the veer pretty well so they will still run the ball a lot.

The East is Pulaski's to lose. They return 7-8 starters on both sides of the ball and are IMO the clear favorite in the East.
