August 19, 201412 yr Drivers that don't acknowledge you with a wave. I give them a snarky wave when they don't acknowledge me. I do the same when holding the door open for others that don't offer the appropriate 'thank you'. I always say, 'gee, thanks so much for holding that door open for those rude people'.
August 19, 201412 yr Not a "lack of awareness" if I have no place to go because of the traffic around me. I just might not be understanding Deuce's point because I've never had a problem with anyone in this area. Could be I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill here. I usually agree with just about everybody's rant when it comes to driving.....well most posters. If there's a car in front of you causing you to be in my blind spot, I'm not going to get over because I'll easily see the car in front of you. I'm talking about nobody in front of you, and you're just meandering in my blind spot.
August 19, 201412 yr Along the lines of what doomer said we all need to work to get along when we are driving. We all see bad drivers and we are all guilty at times ourselves. If we constantly work together the flow would be much better. The only issue that comes up then is the small % of people that will always take advantage of others kindness. One side note, blocking people trying to use an emergency lane is stupid stupid stupid and I think that practice is far worse and more dangerous than actually using the emergency lane.

August 19, 201412 yr Author Today's episode: Do not go through a 4 way stop light intersection if you have a chance of getting stuck in middle of intersection when the light changes. Given my nature, when the light changed today, I scooted through the 2 cars in the middle and was able to make my turn. Luckily, the young lady to my right, stuck, had to back up. This allowed traffic from my turn lane to rightfully gain access, as it is a much longer wait than she had, and the traffic flowed.

My goal in driving is to stay as far the hell away from everybody else as humanly possible. I've done the same thing! In fact, I did it just today on my way home from work. The road out of town is heavily patrolled so speeding is not only something we at the resort don't do, we actually give our guests and clients a heads up. It's a 55MPH highway. I usually set my cruise @ 59 and it's all good. Today some yahoo was right on my butt and would NOT back off for miles. I finally just pulled over in the emergency lane and let him go. What I can't figure out is why he wouldn't pass me when he had several opportunities to do so.

So, you'll get off at an exit, and then get right back on, just to try and leapfrog the traffic that's under the overpass?
