June 17, 201412 yr Let's be honest, rentals were pretty expensive. We did a bachelor party for a buddy at Cumberland a week and change ago — 6 rooms/2 baths, four days/three nights for about $2,300. If I can make but one suggestion, make sure you get one that has good plumbing. One of our two bathrooms got toxified out of commission on Saturday morning and we were without its services the rest of the trip, through Monday morning. The groom-to-be — in his infinite drunken wisdom — decided it would be a good idea to seal up all the windows and turn on the AC because he was hot and wanted to take a nap (it was about 75 outside and breezy with no humidity at the time). The rest of us were either on top deck in the hot tub or at a neighboring boat (or long ago passed out). I went downstairs to use the bathroom after the cabin had been closed up for an hour or so and nearly puked. The whole cabin smelled like a giant, cold, sulfur-basted turd.

June 19, 201412 yr My wife's uncle sold all his land and house in Pendleton co last year bought a house boat and lives in it at the Dayton Mariana. He says he wishes he would have done it years ago
