I LOVED The Shield.

 

It also ended poorly but not as bad as SOA. It's kinda like The Wire...By that I mean the first 5 or 6 seasons were great and the last season was good, just not as good as the rest.

 

If they knew then why go through the motions with the vote?

 

That's my point. That's why if they knew, I thought it was stupid.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see how the vote would have been just going through the motions. If the vote isn't unanimous that Jax lives, regardless of whether the club ultimatley kills him, or Jax is allowed to take himself out, the vote still matters as to if he lives or dies.

I really need to see The Shield. I want to watch that more than Breaking Bad.

 

Both are excellent. It's been a long time since I've seen The Shield. I need to rewatch it to be able to better compare it to the more current shows.

 

 

The best series that I have seen are: The Shield, Breaking Bad, and Sons of Anarchy. I'm not sure what order. I would probably put Justified, House of Cards, and Mad Men on a tier just slightly below.

 

For the record, I've not had the opportunity to see The Wire. Based upon what I've heard, and what type of shows I like, I'm sure that it would be in my top 5 or better.

I feel like I should go back and watch the first couple of seasons when the show was great. After that, there were high points and low points. This was basically in the middle. It was.... OK.

I enjoyed the season. It wasn't groundbreaking television and not as good as some early seasons, but it entertained me. And that's why I watch.

Finally got a chance to watch it today!!

I thought it was a great show and a great ending.

SYMBOLISM!

1. Killing his mom in the garden was "The Agony in the garden"

2. All the saying goodbye to the kids and tying up all the loose ends was the "Scouraging at the Pillar"

3. The SOA "Mr Mayhem" vote and cutting the "president" off the vest was the "Crowning With Thorns".

4. The final ride and all the cops following was the "Carrying of the Cross".

5. The arms up at the end going into the truck was "The Crucifiction".
