I read he actually broke his toe filming. Not sure if that's true.

I'm not sure how else he could have ended it. I agree the way he died was a little contrived, but Jax had to die. Just curious, how do you think it should have ended?

The ending. When the club had to vote on him meeting Mr. Mayhem is what got me first. Then before they shot Happy in the arm I got a little teary eyed. After Chibs shot Happy and he began to say his goodbyes another lump and tear and then once he was on his bike and the truck came in the picture came the final lump and tear. I usually don't get attached emotionally like that. When Wallace got shot, when Bodie got shot and when Omar got shot they all got me a little but not like this.

 

Jax was supposed to be the hero. He was supposed to save the club, save himself and save his family. The whole point of watching the show for this long was to see him accomplish that. In the end he was able to save the club and save his direct descendants by sacrificing himself. I loved it and hated to see him succeed yet fall short. Getting misty-eyed now just thinking about it.

When he said goodbye to his sons, and that whole scene with Nero got me pretty good too. I had forgotten how good of an actor Jimmy Smits is...the way he fumbled putting on his sunglasses so Wendy wouldn't see him cry, and just the way he handled all the tough scenes over the last two episodes was just on point.

The problems with this show started long before last night, so fixing it last night would have been difficult.

The whole episode. There were a few good episodes this season but for the most part this show has sucked for a while.

 

It seemed to me like they were trying to symbolize Jax as Jesus. The homeless woman had the bread and wine (last supper), Jax sacrificed himself for the club and for his sons, and he had his arms out like he was being crucified when he died.

 

That's especially stupid, imo.

 

Also didn't like how easy it was to kill a IRA King. And killing August and Barovsky almost didn't matter they happened so quick.

 

Like I said, it wasn't as bad as I expected...but I'm glad the show is over.

The only thing I didn't like about the last episode was how fast the the August scene went. I expected more of a confrontation.

Where's Wallace at String?

I thought the way they had Jax tie up all the loose ends was perfect. In the past, all those things would happen over the course of a season, carefully planned out, and executed. With Jax knowing his fate, he didn't have to come up with clever schemes or plans. Do what ya gotta do, and the hell with the consequences. The blowback is on him, and him alone. Nothing goes back to the club, and the club can finally go legit (if they want to), with nothing keeping them tied to the crime and bloodshed, etc.

Some of you all would be just awful to hang out with. :lol2: My goodness, it's a TV show. Stop trying to make sense of every little thing that happens, and just enjoy it for the entertainment value.
