Agree, I got emotional when they showed previews for this week, playing 'Knocking on Heaven's Door'. I would have liked while he was heading into the truck that they showed flashbacks like they did for that trailer

I thought the episode was pretty much as expected. That said I really liked it too.

 

Its not like Jax was going to cure cancer or become an astronaut... he's a criminal and a killer!

I had a feeling that since they waited so long to put Chiklis on the show they had plans to use him for something big. Had to be more than just giving Gemma a lift to Oregon.

 

 

I liked the finale and agree with those that have already said it had to end that way. No way could Jax survive. If caught and arrested he would have been killed in prison. There was no happy ending in store for Jax.

Nope. Didn't come up at all last night. Maybe it was just Sutters way to show Jax is (was) human and not invincible, and has weakness.

Fabulous ending. Kinda saw it coming for a couple weeks, but sometimes the best way to end a show is the most obvious one.

 

I know I have been wishing for Jax to meet his demise but I found myself hoping he found a way out of it as the episode went on. Just a great emotional roller-coaster this show was.

Perfect ending, the whole show was about jaxs quest for his father and in the end he found him and immulated him, but broke the cycle with is own sons. I enjoyed the endings thought the murders and shootings he done were a bit far fetched.

 

What about the homeless lady was she the angel of death? Seems like as I reflect she only showed up at times when death came or was at least close?

I read that Charlie had broken a toe and they had been reshooting whenever he limped, but Sutter decided to leave that one time in.

The ending was obvious, but the finale was well done. You knew Jax had to die when he told the DA where Gemma and Unser were, and after he killed Barosky and Marks in front of witnesses. Had he lived, he would have spent the rest of his life in prison, and prison would not have been kind to Jax. All the loose ends got tied up, and i loved the symbolism.....the crows at the end, Jax telling Nero everything while sitting in Gemma's chair, leaving the rings on Opie's and Tara's grave, Jax's final words to the club, "I got this"...I could go on and on. and Sutter still left one question...did Jax really break the cycle for his boys?? Abel with the Sons ring Gemma gave him, makes you wonder if Abel won't eventually end up like his father and grandfather.

Sutter accomplished something very few show-runners can do, he gave an ending that the majority of the show's fan base will like. The finale was well done and I think in the end it will help the show's legacy. I'll remember the show as one that at times could be great, was rarely not fun, but ultimately didn't live up to it's potential. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.
