Guys, the sponsorship helped earn more money for the schools involved in the tourney. You guys gonna make it a big deal whrn the sponsors are mentioned every time the boys and girls state tourney is mentioned in the coming weeks?

Wow! I cant believe this score! Russell really seems to be totally tanking right now. How many did Vanhoose have?? But I'll tell ya right now, dont count them out. Thats a SCARY first round game for a district winner to have to play!! :eek:

I think its safe to say (UKCATSFAN) that defense against Russell's offense has been great against Russell the past two games is not very true. I do give credit (where credit is due) to both Ashland and Greenup on their defensive efforts and good "D", but I think it's starting to show that the true problem here is the awful offense that Russell is manufacturing. Grade school (girls) basketball teams can muster up 4 pts a quarter in an overmatched game! Russell is way too overrated in too many polls! BGP included. Was they good before KC left the team, yes, are they good now afterwards, yes. They just don't seem to be getting into any flow right now with the season starting to heat up. What do any insiders know about their dilemnas?

I agree completely with your point, that the sponsorship is a good thing. I'll go farther than that - I'd love to see each of the tournaments have a corporate sponsor. Anything that puts money into the athletic programs is a good thing in my book. :thumb:

 

I think it is highly commendable of Ms. Wright to sponsor the tournament, and I honestly hope that when someone is looking for help in the real estate market, they remember her name - specifically, that they recall it from her sponsorship of the tournament.

Agree with BDOC. If you don't shoot You don't score. Russell's offensive coaching is pathetic. 24 pts with this talent is awful. This team is capable of putting up 60 - 70 a night but when you got an anchor tied to your back side, You end up with 24???????? The Musketeers ruled the furnace. Greenup showed tonight how to run a quick offense with quick passing and moving the ball back door cuts finishing with an easy 2. Russell was not in sinc. To many turn overs. Lazy passes. There was NOTHING impressive tonight. Greenup played good D but Ashland's was better. Ashland D affected Russell more than Greenup's tonight. You say EVERY SHOT was contested and it was but almost everyone of Jonathan's shot's all year have been contested. They just weren't falling tonight. It happens to the best of them. What was so impressive about Ashland D was that they fought through screens all night to keep him from getting shots off. Don't get me wrong, Greenup D was good but impressive. Come on, Blazer. Russell D was good enough for a victory tonight but I wouldn't call it impressive. Hopefully it's out of their system and shots will start falling. Vanhoose loves the nets at Morehaed, so we'll see.
