May 31, 201412 yr Keyes was a single issue candidate who never really made an effort to win primaries. Much of Cain's support was among the Christian right and a sex scandal took the wind out of his sails. I agree with your comments about Perry and Bush, but Sarah Palin is a very effective and persuasive communicator (even without a teleprompter), whether you like her or not and she more than held her own in her debate with Biden. I generally read through your posts hoping to get (and often doing so) a well thought-out viewpoint from the other side of the aisle. This one, however, pretty much guarantees that I won't be taking you nearly as seriously. I will give you this. It gave me Jim Valvano's three things. I thought about it, then I laughed so hard I cried.

Palin's command of the English language could be better, but anybody who doubts here ability to connect to an audience and get her views across is just not in touch with reality. She does not draw large crowds merely because of her good looks or because she can read the words somebody else has written for her from a teleprompter. One of the most effective communicators that I have ever met was a high school dropout section foreman in an underground coal mine. When Obama's teleprompter fails him, he is left speechless. Obama is just a smoother, more advanced version of Max Headroom attached to a body.
May 31, 201412 yr And he couldn't get his own party to come vote for him.? In 2012 Democrats that voted were 39% and Republicans that voted were 32%. 92% of Democrats voted for Obama, 93% of Republicans voted for Romney, the same percentage of Republicans that voted Republican in 2008 and 2004 and 2% higher than 2000 of Republicans that voted Republican. Not sure why you think he couldn't get his own party to vote for him.
May 31, 201412 yr Okay. I guess I am more open minded. I'm sure I'd like Romney if I could meet the fella. It has zero to do with being open minded or closed minded. I don't know how someone really is until I actually meet them and observe them. People on here think they know me, but most have no clue how I really am.
May 31, 201412 yr When I google my symptoms and the answer is go see a doctor then I will. Until then I'll keep my co-pay money. Thanks, Doc. Memorable relationship? Nope. I've met many people considered politicians and they are all able to work the crowd and relate to all kinds of people. What kind of president? I'm close to a "president". There isn't a person in the world I can't relate to. Don't trust the internet for your health, you may be very sorry some day. I like you and would like to see you stick around a long time. I can introduce you to some people you can't related too, believe me. Sad thing is, I'm actually related to them. :bag:

May 31, 201412 yr Why? Perhaps it's unfair, but this. Sarah Palin interviews with Katie Couric - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
May 31, 201412 yr Imagine what a field day the media would have had if George W. Bush (or Dr. Ben Carson) had hauled a presidential podium and dual screen teleprompter into an elementary school classroom to deliver a speech. Question, liberals, why does an articulate, experienced politician need a teleprompter to address a small audience in a school classroom? The answer is that he doesn't. Being able to read well from a teleprompter does not make a person articulate. Had the teleprompter never been invented, we may have been spared an Obama presidency. I...uhhh...don't that Obama is..uhhh....as articulate as people...uhhh....say that he is. Apparently...uhhh...when a black dude can speak a few sentences that aren't....uhhh...Ebonics.....he...uhhh.....is labeled as articulate. I thought everyone knew that. :lol2:

May 31, 201412 yr Perhaps it's unfair, but this. Sarah Palin interviews with Katie Couric - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Your post is off topic, and I really don't want to head off on a tangent with you. However, if you insist, I can probably find a video clip or two showing how clueless Obama is when his teleprompter fails him and when he cannot pronounce the words that are written for him. There are probably some very good reasons why Obama has chosen to keep his academic records locked away from public view. Nothing in the performance of his duties of the presidency suggests that he was anybody's star pupil.
May 31, 201412 yr Why? And these. "He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed." --Sarah Palin, on Paul Revere's midnight ride, June 3, 2011. "But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." --Sarah Palin, after being asked how she would handle the current hostilities between the two Koreas, interview on Glenn Beck's radio show, Nov. 24, 2010. "Dr. Laura: don't retreat...reload! (Steps aside bc her 1st Amend.rights ceased 2exist thx 2activists trying 2silence "isn't American, not fair")" --Sarah Palin, in a Twitter message coming to the defense of Dr. Laura Schlessinger, the talk radio host who apologized and decided to retire from her highly-rated program after using the N-word on the air 11 times in 5 minutes, Aug. 18, 2010. "Extreme deep water drilling is not the preferred choice to meet our country's energy needs, but your protests and lawsuits and lies about onshore and shallow water drilling have locked up safer areas. It's catching up with you. The tragic, unprecedented deep water Gulf oil spill proves it." --Sarah Palin, blaming the Gulf oil spill disaster on "extreme environmentalists," Facebook note, June 2, 2010. "We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn't that ironic?" --Sarah Palin, admitting that her family used to get treatment in Canada's single-payer health care system, despite having demonized such government-run programs as socialized medicine that will lead to death-panel-like rationing, March 6, 2010. Maybe she connects with some. But not with me.
