May 31, 201412 yr That's not relating to people, you think Nancy Pelosi or John Boener relate to PP and your life? No, they might be able to convince you they are the lesser of two evils and get your vote but that's not relating to people, IMO. So by that reasoning we should only elect used car salesmen, because they convince people to make bad decisions everyday. No. The only point I am making is that politicians relate to people better than doctors. And so do car salesman. Car dealerships aren't going to hire salesmen who can't relate to people. Have you ever tried to convince people to vote for you for anything? You HAVE to be able to relate to all people of all shapes, sizes and colors.
May 31, 201412 yr Author No. The only point I making is that politicians relate to people better than doctors. And so do salesman. Car dealerships aren't going to hire salesmen who can't relate to people. But just like for car salesmen and most politicians, it is an act and one they are good with. I live less than a mile from Hal Rogers and have met him several times, no way he relates to me personally. I guess we'll have to just disagree on this.
May 31, 201412 yr A politician is more equipped to relate to people than a DOCTOR? Really, this may be one of the silliest things you've posted. PurplePride agrees so it must not be so silly. Carson hasn't dealt with the public, he hasn't done a lot of public speaking like Obama has - thus, he lacks the necessary skill for the position. May be a good doctor but not someone with the experience/qualifications to be the leader of the United States.

I live less than a mile from Hal Rogers and have met him several times, no way he relates to me personally. I guess we'll have to just disagree on this. I never said it wasn't an act. Sometimes relating to people has to be an act. It doesn't mean it isn't relating to people. If Hal Rogers' name is on the car dealership he doesn't have to relate to people anymore. He made it. Only his salesmen have to relate to people. I guarantee he could charm the pants off of you if he wanted to though. Kind of like a second term POTUS who no longer needs your vote.
May 31, 201412 yr A politician is more equipped to relate to people than a DOCTOR? Really, this may be one of the silliest things you've posted. Agree with your first sentence. Too much competition to agree with your last one.
May 31, 201412 yr Yes. Politicians convince people to vote for them whether they deserve the votes or not. I don't understand how it is even a debate about who is more equipped to relate to people. I'd say there are thousands more doctors unable to relate to people at the level of a politician. Being able to heal people doesn't mean they can relate to people. I know plenty of doctors with zero people skills.I have never met or listened to a politician that relates to me. They relate to their party, not the people. We just keep picking what we think is the lesser of two evils for the most part.

Just because Obama can read a teleprompter in public doesn't mean he relates to you. And Obama has proven he is not a leader and doesn't have leadership qualities. Obama also was not experienced/qualified to be president.
May 31, 201412 yr Have you ever tried to convince people to vote for you for anything? You HAVE to be able to relate to all people of all shapes, sizes and colors.Honestly, you only have to be one party or the other. People, for the most part, don't vote the person, they vote the party. I have a better relationship with my doctor than any politician or car salesman (except for one car salesman) that I've ever met.
May 31, 201412 yr Kind of like a second term POTUS who no longer needs your vote. You have to be the first Dem that wants to admit that George W Bush related to the people or was charming. :lol2:
May 31, 201412 yr You have to be the first Dem that wants to admit that George W Bush related to the people or was charming. :lol2: I call it like I see it. People loved that dude. I guarantee I'd love that dude. You can't tell me he doesn't know how to work a room.
May 31, 201412 yr I have never met or listened to a politician that relates to me. They relate to their party, not the people. We just keep picking what we think is the lesser of two evils for the most part. Politicians have to convince people to donate money for them and vote for them. That takes relating to people. Deny that all you want but people aren't going to vote for someone who is a stick in the mud. Trust me. Signed, Mitt Romney

Obama also was not experienced/qualified to be president. So you believe he doesn't know how to relate and talk to people? You really think if you met him you wouldn't like him?
May 31, 201412 yr Honestly, you only have to be one party or the other. People, for the most part, don't vote the person, they vote the party. I have a better relationship with my doctor than any politician or car salesman (except for one car salesman) that I've ever met. I don't have a doctor and I have never had a memmorable relationship with any doctor ever. In my experiences they have done absolutely nothing to help me and I get just as much help going to a walk-in clinic and using google.
May 31, 201412 yr I call it like I see it. People loved that dude. I guarantee I'd love that dude. You can't tell me he doesn't know how to work a room. From what I saw, he was as hated or more than people claim Obama is.

I said people back their party, and that holds especially true for those that donate money.
