Some players from my list would be the 5 beechwood boys(Combs ,Stringer, Slusher, Fieger, and Bankemper)

Jeffrey Purnell(Boone) Tremendous ball player.

Smallwood(Dixie)

2 Bellevue boys in Briley Seiter, and Brady Hayes. Ive heard nothing but good about seiters pitching, and saw Hayes play a few games in summer ball with the Bluegrass Lions.

I would also throw in Evan Slone, Raisor, Embs, and Turner from Cooper is having a great season.

Great list! And I'm not just saying it because you mentioned every kid on my original list... ;)

Is Hunter playing varsity or JV?

Wondering if I've seen him...

JV this year. He's pitched against Ryle 2x, Cov Cath, Dixie, SH, SK, and Campbell Co. Can't remember if he pitched against Boone or not.

Highlands has a real strong sophomore class that is playing JV due to the high level of play in the upper classes. Walkenhorst, Cain, Kreeger, Raisor, Dougherty, etc will all be high impact varsity players very soon.

Is Pangallo from NCC a sophomore?

Which one? lol, he starts 4 of them.

They have a Pangallo Freshman, a Junior and 2 Seniors... Hmmm

I guess the Breds still sounds better than the Pangallos.

I'm interested to see how many of the kids in this thread will have an impact in this year's 9th region tourney. I have a feeling several of them will. I've seen a lot of great sophomore talent this year. If you pulled the best sophs from several teams...you'd have a heck of an all star roster.

I think the state sophomore all star game may include quite a few NKY players this year.

Agreed, it would be a crime if NKY isn't well represented.

I know these players are not from NKY but Easton McGee (think it is Hopkinsville) and Jacob Abbott (Lafayette) are probably two of the best players in the state.

Not just physical ability and heart make a good/great player. The attitude toward teammates also goes into a great player. Be confident but also be humble.

When is the sophomore all star game and how do players get selected?
