Matt Reynolds of Campbell County just may push three year starting catcher, Robert Metz to a new position. Reynolds is a smooth gloved receiver who has a tremendous mind to call a game in his Varsity starts last year. Had it not been for a shoulder strain, this young man's true switch-hitting ability just might have put him behind the plate for the stretch run, when it was needed most.

I saw a couple of Campbell County fall games and didn't recognize him... Unless he's gotten taller. I thought he was a short / stocky kid... Maybe I'm thinking of someone else though.

Reynolds is a very good catcher, advanced for his age. His ability to hit varsity pitching is in question. He made one varsity start to my knowledge when Metz was late getting to the field on time before a game and was benched. I hope he gets a chance, by the time he is a senior he could be very very good.

Don't forget about the other Bluegrass team, Bluegrass Lions, filled with Beechwood and Boone kids, all 2016 class and third summer together under coach Meyerhoff. Should be in the conversation of elite summer teams in NKY

Yeah, Bluegrass Chiefs and Lions will be fun to watch.... Good kids and coaches.
