That is incorrect. He and a couple pitchers from the THawks were offered by the Evoshield Canes out of Charlotte, which is an incredible program. All three of them have committed to play for the Redskins, at least as of two weeks ago. Guess stranger things have happened, but wouldn't make since. Been over here since he was 12, and to leave once he gets to the Skins would be nuts. That's an all expenses paid, major swag gig. Gloves, bats, etc. Ethan will be the starting RF for the Skins in 2015, hard to imagine a scenario that will prepare him better for the next level in his last summer season. That said, I will get a confirmation.

Thanks for clarifying... It was that team from North Carolina that I was told he was going to. So, seems like you have the inside track. And I agree, wouldn't make much sense to leave Midland at this point. And that is exactly what I said to the guy who told me he was leaving Midland. Why now?

Okay, so we know Ziegelmeyer, Purnell, Raisor, Combs, Stringer and Slusher are with Midland.

 

Slone is with Bluegrass Chiefs....

Any other teams of note? Those are the 3 NKY teams that were earlier discussed as the best in NKY. Also I throw in Midland cause they're loaded with NKY kids.

Anyway, should be some good summer ball after another good HS season I suspect.

Yes. Combs and Stringer both have been asked to be Redskins, and have accepted. Slusher may start with Braves depending on the recruiting machine that is The Midland 'Skins.

 

Side bar........per Twitter Jeffrey Purnell up to 88 on hill yesterday with team in Ft. Myers. That's a Perfect Game tweet, so write that in ink. He is about to find out what performing well in Florida wearing a Midland uniform does for your college desires. That's a good speed-90 is magic #-but coached will see projectability in him. Midland draws huge crowds down there, college coaches everywhere. Also saw that Tomahawk now Redskin and Georgia Tech commit Jay Wilson from Loveland hit 91. This is the place where he hit the radar last year by throwing upper 80s

 

Heard today that Purnell has already received 3 letters of interest from D1 schools this week after his great performance in Ft. Myers. Exciting times for these players. It is great to see players getting attention after years of hard work. Congrats to Purnell.

I like the Ziegelmeyer kid a lot and I want to get out and see the Purnell kid this upcoming season too.

First heard about Ziegelmeyer from a friend who was at the Top Prospect Games at WKU awhile back. He said that Slone and Ziegelmeyer were really impressive. I'd seen Slone several times so I made it a point to get out and see Ziegelmeyer after that conversation. He didn't disappoint, very solid player.

Also heard from Purnell him he has got UK contact info

If you are a sophmore or junior in HS this is the tournamnet to be at to get noticed. Probably the biggest tournamnet in the country as far as college and pro scouts.
