That is awful.

Hard to believe that human slavery is still happening.

Saw it last week, was going to post it but figured I would get hammered saying that if it was this or that.

I've been called an islamaphob too much, but it is what it is and obviously look what group is involved.

Still very sad for the girls and parents.

How is it that nobody can help them? Just sickening.

Horrible. And I'd say this thing goes on quite a bit too, just not this number of girls at one time, but we never hear about it.

Because Nigeria is one of the most corrupt countries in the world.

Absolutely heart breaking, and sickening. Can't imagine what those young girls, and their families are going thru. Way too much evil in this world.

Sad that Sterling has gotten more media attention than this story in so many ways.

My wife said something very similar to this on the way home from our son's ball game today.

The world is messed up. We have it all wrong.

This is one of the worst stories that I have read in a while...it's deplorable that it happened, it's horrific what they are facing and it is just plain WRONG that this story isn't the lead on the news nightly and pressure is being brought on the rest of the world to take action.

If this happened in Spain or France the UN would have boots on the ground looking for them. Well UN wouldn't they'd send the USMC but you get my point.

The sad thing is that. Nigeria didn't ask for any help, at least until the past few days. Also, forces in Nigeria are scared to go against this group, and when they do have missions against them, the Nigerian forces draw lots to see who has to go on these missions.

No it wouldn't. How often is it the US busting butt trying to build a coalition for low-rent operations like that? Spain would have no part of that. I'm not even mentioning France and their objections.

No you missed what I was saying... if the girls had been kidnapped by militants in Europe (Spain or France) the world would have reacted swiftly. Since it was Africa the world for the most part doesn't get involved.

Muslims have been trafficking in African slaves for centuries. Somehow, they rarely get the credit that they deserve for perpetuating this barbaric practice. If you are a Muslim woman who dares to seek an education, then you are fair game and as offensive to Islamic extremists as an attractive Swedish woman in a bikini. These women obviously were just asking for it. The civilized world needs to acknowledge and engage in the war with Islamic radicals that is being waged by our enemy.
