Their line play will be a big key this year. I think if they use a 2 back system they can run like they did 2 years ago with a blocking FB leading the way. I think if Murray plays FB to Cordell-Armstrong as TB they could be successful if Armstrong made a full recovery from his injury last year.

A sophomore that should get a lot of playing time is Hendrix. He should make an impact on the receiving corp and can play sev different positions such as RB also.

Just like last year, a new QB under center will be a huge factor on how well they play this year. Not sure who will be under center this year.

Defense will have a lot of first time starters this year.

Hendrix will be the QB.

Prickett and Brown got some playing time last year at QB.

Hendrix will be the QB.

That could be interesting. I kind of like the thought of that. I really like it because it will give him a few years to grow into that position.

I'm waiting to hear what Mr Sixer thinks about this team and some of the players we discussed

As a 1A Raceland Fan I am one that knows the connection between the two schools. I feel very confident that Randy "Coop Dog" Cooper would be very proud of both programs. I also believe that he is looking down on both from the "best seat in the stadium".

I wish the best for Cooper's season, hope you win em' all. :thumb:

With Cooper moving to 6A, whomever steps up, better grow quickly! The upcoming Junior class is pretty decent and should provide some good athletes in several different positions, and the rising sophs will provide talent as well.

Cooper will still be playing 5A this season. So they do not need to grow that quickly. But I do agree that they need to make some big strides this year to prepare them for 6A next year!!

I am not sure there is THAT big of a difference, IMO.

I agree. There isn't that big of a jump from 5A to 6A in NKY, if anything over the last few years 5A with Cooper, Conner and So. Oldham have been better than 6A in NKY.

I know there is a commitment to platooning this year that will certainly benefit the Jags. The defense is going to be stingy and keep them in every game. The rising Juniors are a solid bunch, athletically, and many saw significant minutes last year. There are questions on the other side of the ball. If Cordell-Armstrong returns at full strength, he has to get sprung. He is super dangerous once he reaches the second level. His injury was ugly and he must come back with confidence. Will the would-be QB's accept a new role? If the offense clicks, I look for a very good season.

I was more referring to outside of NKY.

Well outside NKY in 5A the only real big team to worry about was BG. In 6A outside NKY you have half a dozen to worry about.
