I believe Patrick Patterson did if i'm not mistaken. Crossing sports, but Matt Barkley did as well.

The only scenario I could see having a press conference to announce a return would be like Florida did way back when...when their entire team decided to come back. That's not happening in this situation.

I'm not sure if Coach Cal would even be in favor of a player setting up a personal press conference to announce that he was coming back.

It would certainly contradict his frustrations with UK be the "most overanalyzed team" if he did support it. However, Cal is a wiz at utilizing the media. I think it's a non-issue. Randle is gone anyway. Good luck to him.
