It's evident that guns need to be regulated. 90% of people in America believe that guns need to be regulated. They already are regulated. Fully automatic weapons are well out of the reach of the average citizen and everything else has background checks. I would be willing to go for expanded background checks, no issues there. But the biggest problem I have is that the vast majority of the people on here arguing about what should and shouldn't be legal aren't giving detailed examples.

May 5, 201412 yr We're just going to have to agree to disagree. We have the constitutional right to bear arms. I don't believe it says how many or what arms we can bear. In my opinion, taking away certain weapons is not infringing on my right to bear arms. We just see it two different ways. I take a more philosophical approach to "taking away certain weapons". I see it as a government control issue and I'm for less government intrusion. I understand your position and don't necessarily disagree. There's a reason the general public shouldn't be able to own their personal uranium enrichment plant, I'm just not sure that I trust the government enough to tell me what I should be able to own and for what reason. It's a quandary. As for carrying guns in bars, I agree with that, but me and you should probably not go drinking in some of the bars in my general vicinity...:thumb:

And now Congress has a bill moving forward to re-regulate free speech after the Supreme Court ruling on political contributions. May 6, 201412 yr Do you support bigotry? I highly, highly doubt you do, so wouldn't you want that regulated? I do not support bigotry, honestly I abhor it. However, I accept the fact that racist speech is expression and when governing bodies start regulating any type of expression, it could become a slippery slope and freedom is at risk.
