April 16, 201412 yr Dude is looking very reminiscent of 2010 Joey, and all several want to do is criticize him every time he doesn't get a hit, while keeping quiet when others do the same exact things in the same situations. I criticized the most visible member and most expensive member of this team when he started the season horribly, he's had back to back good games. Great I'm glad he has!!! Still doesn't mean when I was criticizing him he wasn't stinking up the joint.
April 16, 201412 yr 6.06. Read it over and over, can't see how he was called out. 6.06 refers to interference by a batter. Once the ball was bunted Cueto became a runner. The rulebook distinguishes between the two. Once you're a runner you must give the fielder a chance to make a play. The only exception is when both the catcher and batter/runner are taking off on the initial bunt. The fielder has the right to catch the ball. The runner cannot stand there.

I think his interpretation was applied poorly there. He has to assume when the batter/runner decides to leave the box, which he belatedly did. The better call there was nothing but a foul ball, in my opinion.

My recollection says Cueto did not move until after contact. No assumption there.
