I'll say it. Charlie Strong's offense was BORING. Not anymore.

Extremely boring. Anybody who likes offense will like Petrino's teams MUCH better. Last night was fun to watch.

Seriously? At most schools spring games the one O and two D are on the same team. And the opposite for the other.

I wish James Quick well and success at UofL. I also hope he eats and drinks a lot more PB&J, Vitamin D milk and gains muscle mass lifting because he needs to get bigger/stronger for his own welfare at this level!

Don't know why they elected to do things that way, but that's how the first half was set up. Some of the backs switched after halftime. Don't remember if anyone else did.

 

In the end, it's practice with spectators so I'm not too upset about watching the first team beat the pants off a bunch of redshirt freshmen and sophomores.

It does help build the buzz around the team when the O puts up numbers like that regardless who it's against. Better than a 20-17 scrimmage...gotta make it some fun for the kids to get them excited and carry it through the summer.

Yes. The offense was boring and thank goodness he brought that QB in because with most QBs, his "one yard up the middle, one yard up the middle, now go find eight yards, Teddy" offense wouldn't have worked.
