April 4, 201412 yr At the minimum a fine :lol2: So you'd have no issue with Bruce shoving you out of the way so he could get to a foul ball in the first row of seats down the right field line at Busch?
April 4, 201412 yr At the minimum a fine Agreed. The thing that is not in his favor, is not owning up to it afterwards. You can't a.) have players "going after" fans, and then b.) lying about it.
April 4, 201412 yr :lol2: So you'd have no issue with Bruce shoving you out of the way so he could get to a foul ball in the first row of seats down the right field line at Busch? I really don't think it was a shove but if I got in his way to catch a ball I could see him getting mad. Like I said a minimum of a fine. If he got suspended I wouldn't have a problem with that as long as it wasn't a long one.
April 4, 201412 yr Just say what it really was. " I thought I could catch it and I was upset that I didn't. I thought the guy interfered, just one of those spur of the moment things. I apologize, there was nothing malicious there."
April 4, 201412 yr Adams is really lucky, not sure if this is true but I heard the guy was on crutches from having knee surgery. If he would have fallen and got hurt this would be an entirely different story.
April 4, 201412 yr I think a fine is enough but can understand a suspension. As a cards fan I wish he would have owned it.
April 4, 201412 yr Adams should be fined. The fan should be permanently banned from GABP for giving the finger as well as pay the fine the FCC is going to hit the TV Companies with for it being aired.
April 4, 201412 yr Its hard not to give a suspension. Even though it wasn't malicious. MLB has a chance to set a precedent here. I call malarkey that he was trying to keep from falling, or pushing the fan out of the way to make the play. It was blatantly after the play.
April 4, 201412 yr Author I really don't think it was a shove but if I got in his way to catch a ball I could see him getting mad. The play was over then he shoves the guy with his glove, you don't think it was a shove? The fan wasn't in his way and didn't even reach over him for the ball, just showed it too him and Adams pushes him away with his glove. Then fans flip him off. Adams has to know he can't touch a fan and especially can't initiate the contact after the baseball play was over.
April 4, 201412 yr As usual gonna have to totally disagree with the majority on this board, but I gotta take up for the player. Adams just nudged him to begin with, I mean c'mon, he was trying to make a play in a major league baseball game. Who knows what was being said to him as he was trying to catch the ball or shortly thereafter. Plus you got the fan gving the bird and his classy, probably drunk girlfriend dropping f-bombs. I never take up for fans

I'll agree with half of that, but wouldn't call his little shove street thug worthy. On the other hand, flipping the bird and dropping F-bombs, Id put those 2 in the same class as the Texas Tech fan(who has had his season tickets taken away)
April 4, 201412 yr I don't think he should be fined or suspended. So players can push fans with no punishment? What if the fan pushed Adams? I bet he would be in a sort of trouble.
