March 17, 201412 yr Resort golf. Got into a discussion a few years ago when in Colorado for a wedding and playing at a resort course literally in the middle of no where. Very beautiful area, but WAY more than I was willing to pay. Told the lady at the front desk I could play several rounds at courses just as nice where I live in KY for what they were asking for 1 round...with hardly anyone on the course!. She kinda gave me a slightly disgusted look but gave in, I filed out some paperwork and she took a good bit off the price, but was still too much even then. I have since discovered ways to play golf much cheaper.

March 17, 201412 yr Even though I have the dollars to do so in my pocket I HATE paying for parking. I'll drive around for a while to find it for free. That's why you'll see me parking on Garrard in Covington and walking to the Reds games. Never pay to park. I'm the exact opposite when it comes to parking. I'd rather pay to park in a garage if possible. If a restaurant has valet parking for a reasonable price I pay it. I'm will to pay for things that make my life easier.

Always, everytime. 1. Sunscreen at the beach. 2. Sunscreen at the Waterpark. 3. Beer at any festival, concert, or sporting event anywhere ever. 4. Pretty much any commodity on any island (gas, milk, you name it). 5. any concession item at any amusement park or movie theater. 6. Aw yes, sunscreen at any amusement park. 7. Anything bought in any gift shop anywhere (but with special acknowledgement given to Gatlinburg and Myrtle Beach gift shops.) 8. Golf wear/gear at the golf course pro shop. 9. Any team gear apparel at any stadium. 10. Anything to do with a wedding. (what are ya going do, decide not to have pictures, music, et al.) 11. Swimwear at the Waterpark.

March 18, 201412 yr My daughter works at a movie theater and says the reason food and drinks are so high is because the theater gets no revenue from ticket sales. Really? Wow, that I did not know. Figured they got at least a small cut of the ticket sale. A good friend manages a movie theater. He told me basically the same thing. The first week they have a movie, they get virtually nothing from the ticket sales. And if it is a really popular movie, sometimes they will get a call and they won't get anything the 2nd week either. He said it is frustrating because they have no control over it, it is a contract thing with the parent company that supplies the films and it isn't consistent. The longer they hold a film, the bigger cut they get from ticket sales, but it still isn't much. They make 100% of their profit from concessions and lobby games, etc.

March 19, 201412 yr Bags on an airline. I get free bags on Delta, but they have priced themselves so high that I often have to take other airlines. Company policy states if the airfare is $100 less I have to take the other flight. All fine and dandy until they charge me for my bag, than ask if I want to pay to board early or get a economy plus (extra leg room) seat. All of which I get free on Delta.
