With Wright, you didn't even need to include SW. He took SL to state as a member of the 12th and 13th Region.

Roscoe Denny has taken Danville from the 12th region and Breathitt County from the 14th.

 

And it doesn't count in this thread but he was also the assistant to Steve Wright on his South Laurel teams that made it to Rupp with one of them winning the championship.

That's why I included the question mark on Marshall. Coach Jackson has still taken a different school from two different regions though. Heck of a coach.

If we want to get technical, Covington Catholic's Scott Ruthsatz was also an assistant on a Sweet 16 team (in the ESPN RISE Invitational).

Chuck Broughton won state at Laurel Co. in the 80's, and took Apollo to the Sweet Sixteen in the late 90's.

DAve Fraley took Pulaski to a Title and didn't he also Coach Knott Co in 2010 to Sweet 16

Coach Dave Fraley also took Powell County (14th) in 1974. So he took 2 teams from 14th in Powell (1974) and Knott (2010) and Pulaski from 12th in 1986.

I remember when Pollio coached at EKU. What Ky high school did he coach?
