March 7, 201412 yr Three third graders are caught smoking pot in the elementary school bathroom in Sonora, California. The two 8 year olds and one 9 year old was told on by another student before police were called. The principal said that the boys "didn't seem to be under the influence of marijuana." :ohbrother: Could be like somebody else we know that smoked pot, but didn't inhale. :lol2: No punishment has been determined for the boys who were released to their parents.
March 7, 201412 yr Wow! What a shame. Even if you are Pro Pot you surely can't support undeveloped, young brains using it.
March 10, 201412 yr Whats wrong with it. Bill Clinton and Obama have admitted to doing it as Im sure GW Bush, more Im sure.. They set examples for our young kids. So why not, kids dont know the difference.

March 10, 201412 yr Wow! What a shame. Even if you are Pro Pot you surely can't support undeveloped, young brains using it. The issue to me is that the kids are smoking anything in the bathroom. I'd be just as alarmed/disappointed if they were smoking cigarettes.

They weren't even during in Clinton's presidency and probably don't remember GWB. It's terrible to read about on so many levels but political leaders aren't the problem in this story.
March 10, 201412 yr It's all about personal freedom and remember according to many BGPers there are no harmful side effects and even if there are, they ain't hurting no one else!
March 10, 201412 yr The issue to me is that the kids are smoking anything in the bathroom. I'd be just as alarmed/disappointed if they were smoking cigarettes. That is how things have changed since I was in elementary school. The big taboo thing back then was cigarette smoking. Kids are going to pattern what they see in society in general and in their parents and role models.
March 10, 201412 yr On a side note...is possession by 8 and 9 year old's being investigated? IMO someone should be prosecuted for this.
March 10, 201412 yr It's all about personal freedom and remember according to many BGPers there are no harmful side effects and even if there are, they ain't hurting no one else! C'mon, Jumper Dad. I've only been on BGP for 12 years, but I've never read anyone supporting a 3rd graders' right to smoke. Even those that support the legalization/decriminalization of marijuana (such as myself) recognize the problems associated with a young child smoking at such an early age. That's not the issue up for debate, and implying that those who support the legalization of marijuana would support a young child smoking it is entirely unfair, in my opinion.
March 10, 201412 yr How many 3rd graders know who Bill Clinton and/or George W. Bush are? Does it matter, they know Obama and he did it. Probably in one of the indoctrination books they give them about Obama.

Kid makes a gun out of a pop tart and gets suspended (politics) kid wears an Amercian flag shirt on Cinco day and has to take it off (politics) President supports legal marijuana and talks about it. (politics) 3rd graders arent dumb, they listen to adults talking about stuff, maybe they heard their parents talking about how OBAMA is for legal marijuana and smoking it or read where Obama smoked pot, whats good for him is good for them htey may think. Maybe he should set a better example. Just like when times get hard on families, and have to cut down on spending, do what Obama does, go on a Vacation.

According to the threads on here there are no side effects, no long terms issues and no addiction problems...so what would the problem be for kids?
