Harrison County 53 George Rogers Clark 50 (10th)

Featured Replies

Thought an interesting stat was GRC out rebounded the much bigger Harrison Co. team by 7, 28 to 21, per game stats on the radio. We left early, wish we had stayed.

You must have 2 eyes somewhere else on your body because always saw you with your head down doing updates. I'd put those thumbs of yours up against any teenager when it comes to texting

True story: I've never sent a text message in my entire life.

I thought the 7-point Clark County lead late was golden. Then up steps the big kid from Harrison - who had taken a couple of ill-advised threes to help Clark get that lead - and scores 8 points in about a 25-second stretch - two threes from the top of the key and 2-3 FTs. Clark looked composed until a couple minutes to play when the Breds turned up the pressure. King, Blanton and frosh Jones really stood out for the Cards in the loss; Harrison's Jenkins should be a tough matchup for anyone in the tourney.

Congrats to Harrison County on the win - the matchup with Campbell County should be another barn-burner.

I also thought it was over, so kudos to the Breds on coming back. And I forgot about Thompson's other 3 late. He's got a nice stroke, but with his size & skill level, I'd like to see him in the paint more.

And Jenkins had some moves tonight that....I mean, just wow. He's skilled with the ball & great at attacking the basket.

Agree on Campbell/Harrison being a good one. Their regular season game was a good one.

Jenkins and Dillon Pulliam made big plays down the stretch. As good as GRC is defensively, they didn't have anyone who could keep Jenkins from the basket. He either scored or forced help and then kicked it to the perimeter shooters. That young man can play.

While Papa and I both thought the Breds had poor shot selection from the perimeter, it was perimeter shooting in the final 2 minutes that was huge. Thompson hit a big one as did Dillon Pulliam.

GRC was impressive, sans the final few minutes. Missed front end of the bonus and turnovers down the stretch killed them.

Damion King was outstanding and just as GRC had no one who could guard Jenkins, Harrison County couldn't keep King from getting to the hole. Jerryd Jones was also really good and will undoubtedly be a force in the years to come. Riley Caudill hit some 3's and Sharrock played his guts out.

Really exciting game to watch. Papa, AHSPanther, Patrick.Kelsch, and I had an enjoyable night.

I get no shout out? I had an enjoyable night as well!

For the most part, the best players we saw in tonight's two games were non-seniors. Jackson & Wilson from Campbell, Crawford from Bracken, Jenkins & Thompson from Harrison, King & Jones from GRC.

Tomorrow night will be the opposite with senior laden Montgomery & Brossart, then Bach in the nightcap.

Well, I just referenced those who sat with us. By the way, you should have sat with us. All kinds of comedy down on the front row. :lol2:

Jenkins and Dillion Pullium wanted the ball and willed their team to victory. Both played like they wanted to play another game this year. That to me was the difference.

Fun game to watch even though MCpapa and RP did not acknowledge my presence!

Ok so I didn't sit with them, I still enjoyed the game!

Dillion Pullium?

Dillion Pullium?

That's why I started that comment with "For the most part." Pulliam & Holbrook, both seniors, played well tonight.

GRC has surprised a lot of people this year and how they rebound with being under-sized most of the time.

Said in our regular season game thread that Jenkins was the one that impressed me the most for HC. No surprise that he played well tonight. Agree RP , the kid can play.

The 10th has some very good players returning next year. Will be hard to rank them in our pre-season next year, with so much young talent.

Your presence was fleeting - nay - ethereal. No Clyde-like here.

That's back-to-back meltdowns for the Cards in the 4th quarter....

Congrats to Coach Kendall and the Thorobreds on the win!

Really three straight. They gave away a lead to Paris, and allowed the Hounds to take it to OT in the first round of the district. This GRC team really struggled to close out a game.

You are correct.

And to think. Just a few years ago the furthest thing in the world from Randy Parker's hands was a cell phone. Ole Boy has come a long way!

Clark Co had that game won but had a breakdown in the final 2 minutes of the game with a couple of bad shots, a turnovers and fouling a three point shot. They played good defense and had great hustle and coach had an excellent game plan but a few mental errors caused them to come away 3 points short. Good game to watch.
