MIT Blackjack Team - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Does this mean Harrah's is on the easier end or the more difficult end? What does that % indicate?
February 27, 201412 yr It means for every $100 bet on blackjack at Harrah's the house keeps $1.35. So it is on the more difficult end but regardless it is splitting a pretty thin hair.
February 27, 201412 yr Slot machines, if I'm not mistaken, are the biggest money makers for the casino when it comes to all the different gambling games. Well there were hundreds of people playing them too. I'd guess they are the most popular games. Slot machines were invented to keep the women busy while their men were playing poker. Slot machines total about 70-80% of the casino's profits. Somebody once told me that, if every person in the casino that got up $100, cashed out and went home, that the casinos would go bankrupt. Time is the casinos friend.

I think my policy will be to play until I get up, cash out and take off. I could have walked away with $750 the other day but I chose to donate roughly $250 back to them before getting smart and walking away. BUT, I had planned to lose $100 so I was still ecstatic.

I have had success with the same approach but I leave up $200. Not sure that works when you're in Vegas and planning on gambling 12 hours a day.

But how would you have known when your winning streak is over. If you walked out at $100 you would have been happy but left $400 there. It's all relative. If I am winning, I always put a number on how much I am going to lose back before I quit. If I get hot, I want to make sure I take what I can because it doesn't come very often. You can't look at it like losing $250 when you were up $750 if you still won $500. It's like stocks, sell high but no one can predict the highest point.
