March 23, 201412 yr About to head over to Harrah's. Any last minute pointers or tips? There is money to be made on the don't pass line, but the other shooters will hate you for betting against them.
March 23, 201412 yr Author I left with $500 and made it back to the room with $686 so I'm definitely happy. Was down quite a bit but ran into a super hot slot machine. Played it until I was up over $700, then pressed my luck. Finally felt like it was dead or dying, so I called it a night. I'm happy...paid for the room and my meal at the casino so I can't complain.

Awesome!
March 24, 201412 yr I'm in Wisconsin now, but I'll be headed back home from Detroit later this week so I might make a stop on my way in this week. I've not stopped at any of the casinos outside of Detroit but I'm sure I pass a couple on my way home. I hope I have good news to report again. Wireman what were your playing quarters, dollars? I personally like the wheel of fortune slot machines.
March 24, 201412 yr Author I was playing dollar machines. I've won all three times that I've played this particular machine. I play a dollar machine but select all 5 lines ($5 each spin). It was one of this machines that had a little bonus game too - like a little LCD screen with a bonus game if you hit 3 bonuses on your spin.
March 24, 201412 yr I'll be in Covington all next week, I'll probably spend some time in the poker room at the Horseshoe. I went to the Hollywood 2 years ago before the Horseshoe was open and it had a nice, full poker room. I assume that most in the area now go to the Horseshoe. Can anyone verify if the Hollywood's poker room is dead now?

Can anyone verify if the Hollywood's poker room is dead now? Haven't been to Hollywood since Horseshoe was open but the poker room is usually full at Horseshoe. So to answer your question, I don't know. :lol2: I'd guess a lot of others are in the same boat as me. Edited March 24, 201412 yr by HammerTime
March 24, 201412 yr Last couple times I've been to Hollywood the Poker room was still pretty busy. I've not had much luck at Hollywood the past few times I've stopped in.
March 24, 201412 yr Horseshoe poker room has a lot more action than Hollywood nowadays unless some type of tourney series is going on or something like that.
