Got some friends headed to Hollywood on Saturday, and the

wife will be out of town so I might tag along.

Hitting up Boogie Nights?

I've been to BN once and although the drinks were EXPENSIVE, something about a cougar makes it okay. :sssh:

I need to send your names to a casino host I know. :p Y'all are just what we're looking for.

Keno is like playing the lottery.

Ohio and Kentucky Lottery now offer Keno at different places.

I saw the big board on the wall at one of the bars in my neighborhood around Christmastime. Every now and again I see people up at the bar with tickets. I guess it's making some cash.

Well, just found out I'm going to Vegas in April. Will be at a conference at Red Rock. Maybe I'll take more than $2 cash and see what happens this time.

Alright...I'm headed back to Harrah's this weekend for some more serious playing. I can't wait to spend a night there rather than just a few quick hours. I'm looking forward to the experience and I'm prepared to lose and won't regret it if I do...so I'm going to have a good time.

LOVE Red Rock.

Enjoy yourself, get a nice meal and do it up right!

Last time I was in Vegas was a whirlwind trip. We flew in, drove to the Venetian where we were staying. Checked in, dropped our luggage, went somewhere forgettable for lunch, then to the offices of the software developer we were looking to buy from. Then 3 different casinos to meet with their teams using the software to see how it worked for them and the ways we could use it. Then back to the Venetian to change for dinner. Then dinner at Picasso in the Bellagio. Then back to the Venetian to sleep, then back on the plane home. I was there less than 24 hours. I had $2 cash with me, popped it into a slot as I was departing the Venetian, lost, then went to the airport to wait for my flight, flat cash broke.. Loved the Venetian hotel-wise. Loved the Wynn, hotel-wise. Loved the Bellagio, hotel-wise. Loved Picasso, loved being able to watch the fountains from "the other side". Hated the strip and all those people every 5 steps on each side of me clicking those escort cards. Hated all the casinos. I'm hoping I have a different experience this time in so many ways. I'm there for 4 days this time, and I'll take, oh, maybe $20 bucks in cash this time. :D

I just had a good turn of events casino wise. I had been working

at a couple of my plants near Chicago and started my trip home on

Wednesday afternoon hoping to beat traffic and get home before the

opening round games on Thursday. I get thru Indianapolis and hop

on 74, but I was dying to pee. I manage to make it to exit 109 and

pull into the truckstop across from Indiana Grand Casino. As my luck

usually goes the attendant just had shut down the bathroom/shower

area for cleaning. I proceed to drive next door to the casino walk in and

take a leak, next stop ATM 100$. I figure I would stretch my legs and so

what if I lose 100$. Lose the first 40 rather quickly then settle in at a quarter

machine. I play for maybe 10 minutes and hit 75$ then follow that up with

hitting 300$. I figure I'm up and I'm going to get out of there, but as I headed

to cash my ticket I stopped by a 1$ wheel of fortune machine and it kept hitting

wheel of fortune and spinning the big wheel. 250$ 150$ 75$ 50$ I ended up running

it up to about 750$ and then played for a few more minutes and the machine

went cold. I took that sign as it's time to go and left there with 7 crispy $100 bills.

My buddy said I should've went back to the truckstop and tipped the guy who was

cleaning the bathroom.

Sweet!! Love hearing stories like that!

It was the best hour I've wasted in a long time.
