Lee must play with an all out agggressive style. This is the seniors last game if they do noy win. Owlsely has nothing to lose. They are not expected to win. I for one believe they can win if they play well. Lee must not overlook them. We owe Owsley from last year as they sent us home early. I feel we should pay back the favor. i hope Owsley wins this game it is going to be a tough game though.

Lee by 10 or 15. The only teams that have given Lee any trouble this year are the ones that can matchup with them and guard them with straight up man to man Defense, I don't see Owsley being able to do that in this one, thats why I think Lee wins easily

You're right on the money. Owsley has serious matchup problems if they play man to man, and Lee's too good from the outide if teams go zone on them. If I were the Owls, though, I would stick to zone as much as possible....and hope the Bobcats have a cold night shooting. However, that won't help either if they can't block Rich off the boards, and they haven't been able to do that in the 3 games they've already played this year.

If it's the same horse he'd be an old geezer by now, with a big swag in his back :lol: . That was well over 20 years ago. And he had been well fed when he took his journey around the OCHS grounds....leaving several nice manure pies as a gift.

Bball king is an old geezer with a swag in his back too, so should be a real interesting sight.

i checked on khsaa, they have district tourny's from 99 to present. Lee hasnt won at least since 1999. dont know about before then??

1997. They were runner up in the district to Wolfe.

The last district championship for the Bobcats was 1989.

Rich has did exactly what he wanted thus far againest Owsley. If Owsley can slow his rebounds and easy pts. then Owsley has a chance. Owsley doesnt have the men to man-up.A zone would work fine if Lee has an off night but its hard to put the season on chance. The pressure is on lee, Owsley will be dangerous(capable of putting up big nummbers againest anyone with Neeley and Smith's hot hands) because the most dangerous teams are the ones with nothing left to lose. Lee is without a doubt a good team, good teams are most of the time teams that dont beat themselfs. If Lee dont overlook Owsely and beat themselfs and understnd its one game at a time then Lee will advance but its close to March and the Madnness is rising so when the ball is hoisted into the air, horn sounds and records are 0-0 anything can happen. I think the Owls will play them tough, but Lee is still strong. I look for Lee to hit their free throws down the stretch and win by around 10-11.

It isnt hard to choose a winner in this one. Anyone with a dollar to bet would put their money on Lee County.

 

That said...I see no reason why it is impossible for Owsley to win. When they are on their game they have no problem scoring....it is the fact that they dont match up with Rich that will probably be thier undoing.

 

If Lee County comes into the gym tonight looking around the walls for a place to put their 56th district banner - than the Owls just might have a little psychological nook that - if they play good - can be opened up.

 

I think Lee will pull this one off in a close game but I would not be completely shocked if Owsley pulled the big upset.
