I hope so, country boy. Although I respect Lee County and especially their represenatives here on the boards - Id much rather play Owsley on Friday night.

Goodcall Country boy 10, I agree , its hard to beat a team 3 or 4 times a season and the rivalry between these two teams makes it that better. Owsley will have a chance but they cant beat themself. Hopfully the tradition that Owsley has have over Lee the past several years will carry over into tonight. Owls also have some momentium built up from the Breathitt County win.

Jerry Mac and his old coach from Lee's College (Jackson) have been working hard to have the young Owls ready. If their strategy fails in the first 4 minutes then I look for the maroon feathers to fly but if it works then it could be a close game.

 

I expect the Owls to have their wings clipped because of their limited bench.

Owsley always has a punchers chance. They still have players that can put up 30 on a given night. This is Owsley/Lee, the games are always close.

I wonder of there is a limit on how many coaches one team can have for each game. I think you can only dress four. Ha-Ha

The Owls are pulling out all stops on this one. Hopefully it will only bring baseball at Owsley an early start. Do you agree Sixtyfeetsix? It isnt hard to choose a winner in this one. Anyone with a dollar to bet would put their money on Lee County.

 

That said...I see no reason why it is impossible for Owsley to win. When they are on their game they have no problem scoring....it is the fact that they dont match up with Rich that will probably be thier undoing.

 

If Lee County comes into the gym tonight looking around the walls for a place to put their 56th district banner - than the Owls just might have a little psychological nook that - if they play good - can be opened up.

 

I think Lee will pull this one off in a close game but I would not be completely shocked if Owsley pulled the big upset.

Lee County has plenty of room for that banner, not won since 1989. The Bobcats will be ready.
