Will only get worse if someone doesn't step in with the entire situation at Cordia.....haven't seen the worst yet

Not sure I would throw a punch at Justin Johnson, but a sucker punch may be your best shot. LOL

I'd say someone is about to.

Also heard that both teams had players that left the bench, isn't this automatic "T" or suspension???

JokersWild, get the "skinny" on this game and give us a full report.

I was at our game at Owsley last night but there was a buzz throughout the gym about what was occurring at Cordia. Chapman punched Johnson when he wasn't looking, T's were called on both with Chapman being ejected from the game, some of the fans might have also took a few swings at one another, the game was delayed for 20 minutes. The game finally resumes with techinals being shot by each team. Cordia goes on to win with Rhodes doing one of his best coaching jobs of the season (per the chatter of talk from those in the gym where I was, I don't know if they had a radio or was talking to someone by cell phone, but people were running back and forth in our gym spreading the latest breaking news, lol. The 14th is a soap opera this year).

Anyway, Cordia's gym won't seat 200 people. I really don't know how they convinced PCC to even play them there. KCC plays them because they're in the same 53rd district, but PCC is in the 54th.

If Chapman isn't available for the district tournament at KCC I don't think the Lions have much if a chance in winning that district. I think they seed though, so they still have a good chance of making it to the region, where he would be off his suspension (assuming he's suspended. I suppose the details will have to be reviewed by the KHSAA , but an ejection usually means suspension).

Who all got T's and how many did they get? If it was just one for Chapman and Johnson there would be no FTs.

I'll try to find out that info and report back. I've got a few people I can call.

It's no given Cordia beats LCC in the district. They had to come from behind to win 69-68 over the Cougars earlier in the season. I don't think Chapman and Ortiz was playing then, though. But Chapman presumedly won't be playing on the district game either. And I don't believe Cordia now has Austin Combs, who quit the team a few weeks back (he was the player that hit the big 3 to help Cordia defeat Hazard in the All A) and Catchings. So, Letcher Central can't be taken too lightly.

Leaving the bench during a fight is an automatic ejection for each player who does so. You then have to determine did they participate in the fight or not. If none of the players participated then you have one indirect T charged to the head coach.

However, if you have multiple players off the bench who DO participate you then have an indirect T on the head coach for EACH player who does. So if PCC had 3 players off the bench fighting then the head coach would be ejected in addition to the boys who fought. (3 Indirects = ejection)

I'll try to find out that info and report back. I've got a few people I can call.

My guess is each got a direct T (offsetting - ie no FTs) but the officials determined one team had more players coming off of the bench than the other did.

I read the KSP had to come and sit by a PCC fan who was throwing some racial slurs around.
