Cordia 63 Perry County Central 53

Featured Replies

My guess is each got a direct T (offsetting - ie no FTs) but the officials determined one team had more players coming off of the bench than the other did.

Now I'm not sure. I checked the state site and the only player listed from either team as being ejected is Chapman from Cordia.

Are we sure Johnson got a T? Did he retaliate? Or did someone else step in and retaliate?

Who all got T's and how many did they get? If it was just one for Chapman and Johnson there would be no FTs.

Okay. I just got off the phone with a guy who wasn't there but talked to a person who was, and he said that Chapman wasn't ejected from the game, only a T called. But PCC was called for 2 T's for players leaving the bench. So, when play resumed Cordia had 1 T and PCC had 2. Two of the T's offset one another but Cordia got to shoot 2 free throws on the extra T and got the ball inbounds.

I can tell you that report does not match up with what's on the KHSAA site. Chapman was DQ'd for the punch. If the officials did indeed call 2 Ts for PCC players leaving the bench then they have thus far failed to report the ejections which are automatic. You can't have a T on the kid for leaving the bench but NOT eject them.

Is there a link to view that report?

I read the KSP had to come and sit by a PCC fan who was throwing some racial slurs around.

I read this also, very unfortunate that this had to occur. There is no need for this ever!

Does anyone know what led to the punch being thrown on the court?

Also read were a tape of the game is being sent to the KHSAA for review, to see if any of the players who left the bench are to be suspended.

This :poop: gets crazier and crazier.

I asked the same in post 6 & 15 last night and I got ZIP.

This is strictly a rumor from the guy I called about some info on the game, but he said he has a very good source that's in the know on what's going on in the 14th and the KHSAA, and that the KHSAA is going to come down hard on Cordia either Monday or Tuesday. And I mean hard with a capital H. He told me more but that's all I'm saying at this time. However, I'm pretty sure he's accurate in his info because I personally know his source from my days as an athletic director.

I'm just mad that I didn't go to the game and film it smh. That would be YouTube gold.

No one seems to know. It appeared he threw the punch right out of the blue. Whether something was said as Johnson walked past him is unknown, or at least that what I've been told. Supposedly the Knott County local TV network, which shows most of Knott County games on the cable station to their residents, taped the game and has a good view of the punch. I suppose the KHSAA will be asking for that film.

Well, for whatever reason, when play resumed Cordia shot two free throws and got the ball inbounds.

And what I have posted here has nothing to do with last night's game. They was going to do it Friday but because of Senior Nights for last season games they decided to wait till Monday or Tuesday.

It's possible your buddy described it correctly as far as the # of Ts. That would result in the FTs being attempted. However, if the Ts were for what your buddy described then someone failed to either eject the bench players or report it to the KHSAA.
