See post #70, I'd bet there is a hefty check to cash if they are cancelled, and I'm not sure Kenton Co. BOE has that sitting around in petty cash. Not saying it is right, but saying it has to be a factor.

And if, heaven forbid, a student gets injured or worse trying to get to or from the game? That check will be chump change next to the lawsuit they'll be staring at.

I say under 5k if it starts soon and we get what they claim. On a clear night 7+ for sure.

A student or a player? IMO there is a difference. If there is a crash and a player gets injured, yes I see a lawsuit. If a student who on their own free will gets in an accident on their way to the game, I don't see a lawsuit. Nobody is forcing students to attend.

At some point, parental responsibility has to trump the school's. Most of the schools that have cancelled classes or dismissed early have bus service to worry about. Once you get home, it's up to the parents to decide what's best as far as venturing out to a basketball game. Just my opinion.

I guarantee there would be one. That's the whole purpose of cancelling events and school. They don't want the liability if someone gets hurt trying to make it there because it wasn't cancelled.

Looking forward to getting some good seats for this one….I encourage everyone to stay home tonight ! It will be like a private showing ! Put it in 4WD, use moderation and fire up the popcorn machine… Yes, schools cancelled, yes other games were cancelled, but apparently these are on. Giddyap
