Predictions for Friday's BOK double header

Featured Replies

I guarantee there would be one. That's the whole purpose of cancelling events and school. They don't want the liability if someone gets hurt trying to make it there because it wasn't cancelled.

There may be one filed but I don't think a check will be cut by the district. Like I previously said, nobody is forcing any student, parent, or random fan to attend the games. It's their own free will that will get them to the BOKC tonight.

Student on school property vs. student not on school property attending a game....

I am seeing conflicting responses' date=' are they going to broadcast the CCH game on the internet?[/quote']

Yes

A student or a player? IMO there is a difference. If there is a crash and a player gets injured, yes I see a lawsuit. If a student who on their own free will gets in an accident on their way to the game, I don't see a lawsuit. Nobody is forcing students to attend.

So you are saying the health and well being of a player is more important than the health and well being of his/her classmate that wants to root their team on.

IMHO if there is even a question of safety for the players, students, or fans then a reasonable judgement call should be made. I hate to see a game cancelled as much as anyone else. But common sense has to be put ahead of a basketball game.

Was also told that they are expecting around 7k tonight based on presale tickets already sold.

I was told the same thing.

We gonna have game updates anyone?

He didnt say anything about one life being more important than another. He gave you his idea of how the legal system MIGHT view it.

My applogies probably should have read closer no disrespect intended.

Its 3:07 and I'm sure glad that schools were closed today, and or our kids were let our early.

If the weather gets any worse than it is now I probably won't let my son drive to the game, I'll take him. I agree with lawildcat that I'm using my parental responsibility to make sure my kid gets to and from the game safely.

I'll send updates from court side seat!!!

I will continue with my cynicism...

Did the schools offer all the kids, parents, etc. a refund on their pre-sale ticket price since it may be unsafe to travel to the game? I would hope so since they are not forcing them to go.

Depending how bad the weather gets (if it does anything), I may try to make it up there. Was planning on going to the Scott Brossart game, but now that that's cancelled, got nothing else to do. :idunno:

Mostly likely not and I don't think they should. They bought a pre-sale ticket. And in the case of most events, there is always a chance of cancellation. They were not forced to buy a ticket early, they could have bought them tonight at the BOKC when they arrived.

Perfect. I'd appreciate them.
