February 7, 201412 yr Just because you don't believe doesn't mean they aren't out there. The silverback gorilla was only discovered in the 20th century, until then their species was unknown. You cannot say they don't exist beyond a shadow of a doubt just like I cannot say they do exist beyond a shadow of a doubt. Truth of the matter is we don't know for sure. To say there is "zero" evidence though is bogus. Prints and castings are aplenty and people have recorded pictures or video however like I said in an earlier post even a real picture or video cannot be authenticated so there will always be doubters. With that said I find it interesting and compelling that native peoples have talked about these types of creatures for hundreds or thousands of years. These are the peoples who have had to coexist and share land with these creatures, their accounts have been passed down through centuries. Some native cultures hold the sasquatch to the highest regard and an integral part of their culture and heritage. Africa in 1900 had less then 200 million people and is bigger then all of North America. Yet some German can wonder through the jungle and find gorillas. But today in the USA with 330,000,000 people, damn near all of them with cell phones with cameras, we can't get one credible shred of evidence.
February 7, 201412 yr I am a skeptic by nature. I don't care what the subject is, I want to see it in black and white before I accept it. I need proof. It is how I am wired. My wife gets peeved at me sometimes for asking people a bunch of follow up questions when they are just repeating the latest "story" they heard or more likely read on the net. I can't help it, I am looking for something logical to support their claim, something tangible that might explain the issue. I have no problem nicely saying "Oh, I don't believe a word of that", which always seems to elevate my wife's blood pressure, lol. It makes me wonder about folks on the other end of the spectrum. Are there certain personality types who just yearn to believe this kind of thing? Seems like the same kind of people are always buying into other conspiracy theories too. What makes people be so accepting of outlandish ideas that they have no evidence of their reality? The big question for me is this: Are those people happier than I am? Is their daily existence more contented than somebody like me?

February 7, 201412 yr I have hunted in Texas 5 times, and in three locations, all surrounded by ranches of square mileage, and all were leased and managed for deer hunting and were polluted with game cameras. Big biz out there. Not one Yeti, nary a sasquatch, zero bigus-footus.

UFOs, yeti, 2012 apocalypse (that one didn't turn out well for them :lol2:), etc.

Still though does that mean that there is absolutely zero chance they exist? The analogy I like to use is with deer, you are not guaranteed to see a deer if you go in the woods but yet they have a very high population and populations confined close to human populations. So if you have a creature that is far less populated in far more remote areas it will be tough to see one. You could also add that the creature could be fairly intelligent and with the help of strong senses (like most animals) could avoid humans. The natives claim they live in harmony with nature and we are not supposed to have contact with them.
