BGP Louisville Gathering Update Thread

Featured Replies

Great to add a whole bunch of good folks to list, and great to see old friends as well!

I'm definitely down to host a Bourbon City gathering in the summer if folks wanna come this way. Go get your distillery tour thang on then come over for drinks and BBQ!

I'd be all over this.

This was a great way to spend 3 1/2 hours!

For the record, plantmanky and I are 2 for 2 on the last "official" BGP gatherings!:taz:

I'd be all over this.

That settles it. I hate the idea that you've never met any of the folks. We'll have a summertime soiree in honor of Hangman and his SB Champion Seahawks!

Let me know, I'll do my best to be there.

It was great to meet you guys today. Thanks CWB for organizing it. I hate that I had to leave after an hour or so, but so glad I went. I am thankful like NKUclubbball said, nice to put a face with a username now. Kinda like a family reunion with family I just met. Again, pleasure to see some old friends, and meet some new ones.

Just got home. Wow! What a great bunch of people!!!! I learned that spindoc and doomed out kicked their coverage, your wives are not only very nice bit beautiful women to boot. It was so much fun finally getting to put faces with names on here. I wish I would of got to talk with PP92 more but was deep in conversation with BigV and NKY and nkuclubbaseball that it was hard to get around to everyone.

Rockmom, my new secret crush, was awesome and I learned she has a memory like an elephant and not to debate her when she's hungry....just a warning to others lol. She was awesome as was everyone I met today. Small world, it seems Colonels wear Blue grew up around 100 feet from my house lol. Great guy and thanks for getting this thing together. BigV I think is my long lost twin brother.....fraternal not identical, he is 10 feet tall...Bert what a great guy. Everyone was so much fun to be around. I'm ready for the next one!!!!!! Can't even think about trying one of those scotch testicles or whatever they were called......not going there.

First of all, thanks!

Second, how in the world did Scotch Eggs turn into Scotch Testicles down on that end of the table? LOL.

IF????? You must be kidding Jim. A BGP Bourbon gathering does not need if in it.

A huge thanks to Colonels Wear Blue for leading this up. Great guy.

Just wanted to chime in...I had a GREAT time as well...met a lot of new faces and made some new friends, and always good seeing PP92 (Jason) again. The gathering kind of broke into two groups, and I didn't get to talk to a few of the guys as much as I would have liked, and that inevitably happens with a large group of people, but had some great conversations with those that I did talk to. As Hellbird mentioned, we are definitely on the same wavelength with a lot of opinions. Rockmom is great. Had a lot of in-depth conversations with plantmanky, thsrocks, nkypete and nkuclubbaseball19 as well. I think we may have solved several issues that the KHSAA hasn't.:lol2: Thanks to CWB for sitting this thing up, and thanks to Bert for giving me half of a Scotch egg...yuuuuuuummmmmmmmyyyyyyy! I'll be having one of those again with the egg soft-boiled if they can do it that way. And a shout out to Jim Schue for the big bbq bash he's has in the works for the summer!:thumb:

Thanks so much CWB for organizing this, and thanks so much for all the attendees warm hospitality. Mrs. Doomer always wondered why I would spend time "conversing" on BGP, but now she understands there are great people on here!!! I only regret I didn't get to spend more time talking with everyone there, but I know we will participate again. And, I am always open to hosting if people are open to driving to Ffort.

We are also sorry we didn't get to talk with Rockmom more!

Seriously...it was no problem "organizing". Didn't much more than starting a thread on here and then calling Molly Malone's. It was great meeting everybody yesterday. The company didn't disappoint. Sorry TheDuece and TB&G couldn't make it out, but hopefully we can catch you guys next time.

And for those who may not know already....Jim Schue's offer to host a BGP barbecue in Bardstown this summer is WELL worth taking him up on. I know I'll make serious efforts to be there.

I do hate that I didn't get to meet TheDeuce or TB&G either. But I'm so glad to finally meet the rest.

Gonna have to make a fishing plan with CWB, and get some range time in with Bert soon.

Damn.......wish I could have made it.

As do I

and get some range time in with Bert soon.

Would love to sling some lead with you guys down at Open Range, just so long as you and your son don't laugh at my shooting.

I wouldn't. Can't say much for him, he laughs at mine.
