January 24, 201412 yr Did you know that Wisconsin recorded a 2013 surplus of $912,000,000? All due to reforms put into place by Gov. Scott Walker. He plans a tax cut for Wisconsin taxpayers and putting some of the surplus into a rain day fund. Should states that face similar problems that Wisconsin faced, before changes, take notice and enact similar similar reforms?

January 25, 201412 yr Author Where would the overall US economy be without states like Wisconsin? Wisconsin passed laws and regulations that have reduced government expenses and created jobs. Legislation of this type Obama would have opposed. Or how about the Dakotas? They had a boom in oil production on private lands that have created jobs, reduced unemployment into the 3-4% range and brought in lots of tax revenue. Texas and Florida already had business friendly environments and low taxes that have created jobs, some of which were jobs that left highly regulated and highly taxed states. While all this lowering of regulation and lowering of taxes was going on, those who needed assistance still received aid. But the best type of assistance that the aforementioned states created were jobs. Jobs that helped to remove people from government programs and made them taxpayers.

Texas with no state income has a surplus of $5 billion, Florida with no state income tax cut it unemployment in half, the Dakotas have an unemployment rates of just over 3% and Louisiana and South Carolina have solid improvements as well. All accomplished with programs that the Dems oppose, lower taxes, fewer regulations and drilling for oil.

February 4, 201412 yr Y'all, I've been to Milwaukee. It's a beautiful city. Loved everything about it. The Wisconsin countryside is spectacular. I'm sure they don't have closed borders and you'd be happy there. Try the cheese!
