To me at least, it's to early to make any of those calls. Lets wait to see what happens over the rest of the winter and see who works the hardest in the weight room.

 

Agree. I am sure a couple upcoming seniors that haven't been mentioned will have something to say about the LB positions as well.

I would also agree that it is too early to pick who the "starters" are. But what I meant to ask is that what position do you think they will be playing when they sub in or if they do start. I think Timmerman and Sammons will be playing majority of their time at Middle, pitzer outside, and Shelton outside? Agree or disagree?

Of the players you list, yes those would probably be their natural LB positions- but I'm not convinced 1) that they will all stay as LB's or 2) that some other players won't have a lot to say about the LB position.

Not sure about JV. I think CVH is the only varsity player.

In watching him play football, the best I saw him play was against Ryle in the Freshmen Champiohship Game and he impressed me a ton with his play at LB. I would think with both Wags and Ben B. being a Sr. and a JR., Cole best shot at playing Football next year (starting varsity that is) would be as a DB. Very quick, smart, can jump, hits very hard and is a sure tackler.

 

Must say this though, the young man at times this season (Holmes and Summit CD to name just two games) sure doesn't look or play like a 9th or for that matter a 10th grader, with the round ball.

 

Young man has a bright future ahead of him in both football and basketball and for that matter baseball if he wants to play it but you wouldn't want to meet a nicer and more polite young man, who honestly to me at least, seems a bit embarrassed by all the attention!
