I think he would fit well in the next 10, but I think he's probably just a little below the top 10.

He is having a nice year, but is nowhere near the discussion of the top ten players in the state.

I believe I said I don't know if he is top 10, but is in the discussion. Dwayne has been one of the most consistent players in the state this year. He is only a junior. He averaged 11pts and 8 reb. as a sophomore, which means he has doubled his scoring and improved his rebounding by 5 boards a game. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Definitely an all-state candidate.

The few times I've seen Cordia's Cunningham I was really impressed with him. I don't know if he's top 10 in the state but the kid is good. I'd give him a slight nod over Beverly in the 14th region, but he's a senior and Beverly is only a sophomore.

Off the top of my head I can name about twelve players that would be mentioned before him without even doing some research. Cory Thomas, Brent Bach, Justin Johnson, Tanner Johnson, Evan Hall, Drew McDonald, Raymond Spalding, Nich Ruthsatz, Braxton Beverly, Jaquis Matlock, Quentin Goodin, Peyton Chase, Charles Hudson....these guys are the ones outside the top ten listing that are in the discussion

After watching Montrell Little from Doss this weekend in the LIT, he could be in the top 10.

 

Kelan Martin part 2. 6-6, big body, can play inside or out. Had 29 on Ballard.

 

A main reason why Doss is a contender for the 6th region title.

 

Also, no votes for Raymond Spalding??? C'mon, Everybody Loves Raymond.

 

I like Spalding I just don't think he is top 10 in the state yet.

Have you seen Justin Johnson and Braxton Beverly from PCC play? i haven't seen everyone on this list but I did see PCC play and Justin Johnson is an extremely dominant low post player and seems worthy of top 10 status. Braxton Beverly is one of the best point guards I've seen in the state but probably not top 10 yet.

 

Not this season. I hope to soon though and hopefully Beverly is back if I get the chance to see them.

Cam Justice, Trent Gilbert, Brandon Hatton, Shane Hall, Ray Spalding, and Justin Johnson are others who make the best case for rounding out the top 10, IMO.

 

I kinda like this list even though I have not seen all of them play this year. I think you could put these kids in a pill bottle and shake it up and what ever order they roll out you could have that as the ranking. Each has a special talent and it depends on how you wanted to build your dream team. It's been a fun year in hoops so far!

Bolden and Snider in the backcourt together would be ridiculous.

 

Put Kelan Martin at the three to stretch the defense and Jackson Davis with Lamontray Harris grabbing boards and blocking shots inside and you are talking about one hell of a team that would be extremely tough to defend and stop on offense.

Raymond Spaulding needs to be included, he has great presence in the middle, and is getting lots of D1 looks.

Agreed.

 

Ray is basically the same player as Kam Woods at the same stage of their high school careers, but I think Ray is more skilled. Kam has had a very good career at Butler so far.
